Mt. Baker is home to amazing hiking, climbing, snow sports, and biking. It's the start of the world famous Ski to Sea Race. I see it pretty much every clear day peeking over the hills in Bellingham. In fact, Baker is the mountain that inspired me to start this whole project.
I've lovingly rendered as much details as I could in this map, including the extensive network of rivers and creeks, glaciers, hiking trails, and climbing routes. Visible on the map are the Chain Lakes, Ptarmigan Ridge, and Heliotrope Ridge trails, among others. Glaciers and lakes are engraved for a contrasted color effect.
This model is 1:58,632 scale, with each layer representing 600 feet of elevation, and showing ~246 square miles and 9,000 feet of vertical elevation. The unframed 11x13 model shows the top 5,000 feet.
